Covering note to the national dialogue reports in South Sudan

President Salva Kiir’s aims for the National Dialogue were to end violent conflicts; reconstitute
political consensus; save the country from disintegration and foreign intervention; and usher in
a new era of peace, security, stability, and prosperity. Specifically, the President issued 12
objectives for the National Dialogue process to fulfill, which can be found in the document attached below.
